Health doesn't exist in isolation

One Health Illinois brings together researchers, professionals, and communities across disciplines to address complex health challenges. Its work recognizes that human health is deeply connected to the health of animals, environments, and the systems we share.

Context

How do you represent something inherently interconnected with a single mark?

The identity needed to communicate connection, collaboration, and a holistic approach to health while remaining simple enough to work across digital and physical applications.

One mark. Multiple connections.

I focused on figuring out how the system should work rather than how it should look. I used low-fidelity sketches to explore onboarding flows, handle missing information, and understand how different features depend on each other.

Giving the mark a visual language

With the logo structure established, I explored color and typography to create an identity that reflects One Health Illinois' interconnected approach to health.
